Over the weekend, Kollaboration Atlanta performers and staff were invited to attend the 3rd Annual Korean Festival in Suwanee. Sponsored by AM1040 Radio Korea, the Korean Association of Georgia, and the Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea, the 2-day event celebrated Korean culture through food, cultural displays, local business vendors, and of course, local talent.
Among the past performers of Kollaboration, Johnny Le & Sam Cho, Joy Tolentino & Oscar Mendez, Persuasian, and Lost in the Gym were selected to showcase and represent their talent and Kollab to the community. Staff members also got a chance to shine by being selected as judges for the open dance competition. Hip-hop trio and former competitor Yellow Boyz also performed a special stage in light of their recent uber-fame overseas. With a festive atmosphere, mouthwatering food, and stunning weather (not a cloud in the sky either day!), good times were had by all.
A special shoutout to the performers who came from all over the metro area to perform! Major props to all the Korean businesses and organizations involved in making the Korean Festival happen. Lastly, a big thank you to the staff members who came out and represented Kollab in Atlanta’s Korean community.
