Zooming in On … Lost in the Gym
Jul 2011 20

*This is the last installment of the “Zooming In” series. To read more on previously featured artists, check out the full list here. With that, please enjoy our final featured artist: Lost in the Gym.

Under the spotlight is where Lost in the Gym found its rightful place. Ever since Kollaboration Atlanta’s second show in 2009, the city has seen the all-male hip-hop team ascend from 2nd place to grand-prize winners, all thanks to their high-gravity, theatrical dance performances that pleased both the judges and audience. Having met while breakdancing around Georgia State University’s campus, the members of Lost in the Gym have expanded their repertoire to where no two performances have been alike. At the same time, they have managed to retain a distinct style true to their love of hip-hop culture. Kollaboration Atlanta was proud to have featured them as the guest performer for this year’s event at Center Stage on March 26, where they performed a mash-up that  included Justin Bieber’s hit, “Baby”.

A final THANK YOU to everyone who has stayed with us throughout this series. We hope that “Zooming In” has provided a deeper look into the passions, inspirations, and influences of the young talent thriving in Atlanta. But it’s definitely not the end; Kollaboration Atlanta puts on a yearly event every spring, where — if it’s possible — the caliber of talent only seems to grow. We hope insights like the extended interviews and media coverage have inspired other artists to be a part of the Kollaboration Atlanta movement. Be on the lookout — auditions for 2012 are right around the corner!
