Obsessed with comic books? Huge fan of supernatural, all-powerful superheroes? Even if you’re not, join us this weekend at Criminal Records in Little Five Point to celebrate comics, music, and all-out nerdness for Free Comic Book Day (yes, one actually exists) with Adam WarRock, nerdcore/geek rapper and winner of this year’s Kollaboration Atlanta event, who will be featured in a free showcase with new songs and giveaways!

Free Comic Book Day was created in 2002 by independent comic book store owners to draw people into the genre. Supported by Diamond Comic Distributors, Free Comic Book Day is coordinated around the country on the first Saturday of May. It has typically coincided with the release of a major film featuring a prominent superhero; in this case, it’s the upcoming blockbuster Thor, featuring Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins, which is released TODAY and prior to the über-holiday.
FUN FACT: Marvel Comics’ character, Thor, was a major player in the storyline of Adam Warlock, the comic character that Adam WarRock drew his own namesake and inspiration from.
