2011 NAAAP Annual Banquet + Chopstix For Charity Grant
Apr 2011 16

On Thursday, April 14, Kollaboration Atlanta staff members attended the 2011 Annual Banquet of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) at the Wimbish House in midtown Atlanta to receive a grant from Chopstix for Charity, a fundraiser that sets up financial rewards for non-profit organizations who spread the awareness of Asian culture throughout the Atlanta metro area.

As a non-profit dedicated to showcasing Asian American talent, many don’t realize the amount of behind-the-scenes work and time that each staff member puts into searching for sponsorships, spreading awareness and remaining communally active during the year. Without the help of programs such as Chopstix for Charity or fellow non-profits like NAAAP, much of Kollaboration’s production capabilities would not be possible.

Fortunately, we were able to give something back by contributing the talents of Johnny Le & The Crew, a competitor from our recent Kollaboration ATL 4 main event held on March 26. Known for their acoustic/jazz-like sound, the band from Georgia State University provided much of the night’s entertainment as NAAAP members and corporate sponsors mingled and networked.

Set against the stately decor of the Wimbish House, also the historic location of The Atlanta Women’s Club, the second-annual NAAAP banquet was nothing short of class and sophistication.

Kollaboration Atlanta would like to express a big THANK YOU again to NAAAP and Chopstix for Charity for their enthusiasm and continual support of Asian American performance talent within the Southeast. We look forward to taking our relationships to the next level and striving to work together in supporting the Asian American community!
