Help Japan and Get Free Music by Attending Our Show!
Mar 2011 25

On Friday, March 11, 2011, the 9.0-magnitude earthquake that struck the northeastern coast of Japan’s main island was only the beginning of a defining tragedy. After nearly decimating a number of coastal cities, including the 1 million-populated Sendai, a violent tsunami tore through what remained of the already devastated region. As the death toll continues to mount and the recovery process remains uncertain, the country also grapples with the prospect of a nuclear radiation takeover.

In light of this profound tragedy, Kollaboration Atlanta is joining forces with Music for Relief, a non-profit organization founded by members of the Grammy award-winning band Linkin Park, to participate in “Download to Donate: Tsunami Relief”, an initiative undertaken by several chart-topping artists to compile and release an album of original songs with the pledge of donating all of its proceeds to the Japan disaster relief.

Some of these artists include Angels & Airwaves, Sara Bareilles, Hoobastank, and Enrique Iglesias. All the proceeds will go to Save the Children, an organization dedicated to helping children living in poverty and natural disaster-stricken areas around the world.

All Kollaboration Atlanta 4 attendees will receive the album for FREE. See below for the current tracklist on “Download to Donate: Tsunami Relief”:

1)  The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus — 21 and Up
2)  Angels & Airwaves — Hallucinations
3)  B’z — Home

Though Kollaboration Atlanta encourages show attendees to take advantage of this supportive cause, we also support donations to be made where possible. If you are financially unable to contribute, you can still help by spreading the word through social media outlets and blogs.

Remember, only Kollaboration Atlanta 4 attendees are eligible for the free album, so be sure to get your tickets today! By supporting Kollaboration, you not only receive an entire album of original songs, you are helping to maintain the awareness of Japan’s road to recovery.

Only 1 day left until our main event! See you all at the show!
