Taste of Taiwan at the Chinese Cultural Center
Nov 2010 20

This past Saturday, a couple of our staff members (Judy, Kris, Mary, Esther, and myself) set up a booth at the Taste of Taiwan event at the Chinese Cultural Center. This event was organized by Emory University and Georgia Tech’s TASA (Taiwanese-American Student Association). We were especially compelled to go to this year’s Taste of Taiwan because Andy Wu, our very own Georgia Tech Liaison is also currently the President of TASA, and while we always make an effort to support local happenings, we also make sure to help out our own.

In celebration of the rich culture of Taiwan, Emory and Georgia Tech TASA featured foods from various restaurants. As we munched on dumplings, noodles, and sweet desserts, we socialized with the various groups of attendees, whether it was explaining the Kollaboration vision or just chatting about last year’s show. We also asked everyone who visited our booth to sign up for a chance to win 2 tickets to Kollaboration Atlanta 4. At one point, there was even a chopstick contest where the contestants had to transfer various foods from one end of the room to the other. I’m sure everyone will be proud to know that first place in that contest was won by none other than yours truly. The program also included performances by diverse groups such as Emory’s Chinese dance group, Eve Hao, the Georgia Tech Magic Club, Sunsona, and the Taiwanese School of Atlanta’s drum team. We were especially excited to watch last year’s Kollaboration Atlanta 3 Grand Prize winners, Lost in the Gym, put on an energetic performance.

We would like to thank all the participants of Kollaboration Atlanta’s ticket raffle at Taste of Taiwan. The lucky winner of two tickets to Kollaboration Atlanta 4 is Welton Li from Georgia Tech! Congratulations!

Do YOU <3 Kollaboration? Stay tuned for more opportunities to win tickets to Kollaboration Atlanta 4!
