David Choi—the Korean American YouTube star—visited Atlanta on Monday, October 18th for his October Tour 2010. His tour around the east coast, which ended on the 23rd, consisted of 8 main cities including Toronto, Teaneck (NJ), Philly, DC, Orlando, Tampa, NYC, and of course, Atlanta. To support the Kollaboration alumni, some of our staff members headed over to the concert at Red Light Café.
David is living the Kollaboration dream as a songwriter, producer and singer. He began as a modest vlogger on YouTube, mainly posting acoustic covers of popular hits. Now he is the 6th most subscribed musician on YouTube with over 400,000 subscribers and over 65 million total YouTube video views. He has released two albums so far and has been featured on numerous mainstream outlets such as NBC, VH1 and MTV. He was a competitor for Kollaboration LA 9 in February of last year and continues to be supportive of the Kollaboration movement.
David kicked off his performance in Atlanta with his signature piece “YouTube, A Love Song,” along with many of his original tracks. The venue, which housed more than 130 people, was sold out on the day of the show.
